This is the beginning of a series of posts that will occur every Saturday. I'll share some photos that have caught my eye or given me inspiration throughout the week. I hope that you'll find something interesting in them as well!
This week I'd like to touch on the Spring 2016 Couture collections that were recently shown in Paris. Although there were many amazing collections to choose from, some of my favorites are below. Couture fashion weeks are a time for admiring amazing craftsmanship. Fashion gets even closer to art in these garments!
Along with the rest of the world, I am very excited about the trend of transparent pieces that is happening right now. Aouadi and Armani Privé proved that this trend can be soft and "feminine", as well as edgy.
Color is something that I'm always very inspired by so I love that the entire Givenchy collection was shown against this bright hue. It's yet another variation of punk and its relationship with the color pink.
Good tailoring goes a long way and the entire Dice Kayek collection is impeccable. The bold structure of this coat is so successful in my opinion.
Although these collections can seem so far from reality at times it's fun to be inspired by them. I often take elements of what I've seen and try and implement them into my style, in a way that works for me. Put your own twist on it! If you are also excited by these images there's always more to see at vogue.com.
Until next time,
Audrey
